Notifications are gentle reminders about conversations or actions in Twist, like when you’re added to a new team.
Types of notifications in Twist
You can configure which events in Twist trigger a notification (see the instructions further down in the article). Here are your options and what they mean:
- All threads and messages: You’ll receive a notification for every thread that arrives in your Inbox and every message sent to you.
- Threads only: You’ll receive notifications for threads that arrive in your Inbox, but you won’t get any for messages sent to you.
- Messages only: You’ll receive notifications for messages sent to you, but you won’t get any for threads that arrive in your Inbox.
- @Mentions and 1-on-1 messages only: You’ll only receive notifications for threads that you’re mentioned in and messages sent to you directly.
- @Mentions only: You’ll only receive notifications for threads that you’re mentioned in.
- 1-on-1 messages only: You’ll only receive notifications for messages sent to you directly.
Choose which notifications you want to receive for each team
- Click your team name in the top-left corner.
- Select Settings & members.
- Select Notifications.
- Use the dropdown menus under Desktop and Mobile to select which types of notifications you’d like to receive on these platforms.
- If you're inactive on your desktop, you'll receive a notification on your mobile instead. You can set how long you'll need to be inactive on your desktop for the notification to be sent to your mobile under When inactive on desktop, send to mobile.
- Use the dropdown menu under Email to select which types of notifications you want to receive via email.
- Click Update to save your changes.
